Iain Arnold (Baritone)      -    George    

 

Iain has performed in Opera, Musical Theatre, and Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta for almost 30 years.  His roles have included Sir Despard Murgatroyd (Ruddigore), the title role in The Mikado, The Duke of Plaza Toro (The Gondoliers), Dick Deadeye (HMS Pinafore) and Private Willis (Iolanthe). He has performed many other roles in musicals and operas including Carmen and The Marriage of Figaro and recently was the baritone soloist in a performance of the Fauré Requiem.

 

He took the part of David, one of the three British soldiers caught behind enemy lines in Eric Wetherell’s first opera A Foreign Field.

 

He currently sings with Bristol Choral Society and New Bristol Voices (a small chamber choir specialising in works by living composers.)   

 

As a completely new venture, Iain has just taken up the ukulele!
