Gemma Dunster (Soprano)          -       Esther

Gemma Dunster has very much enjoyed creating the role of Esther in this new opera.  She has always enjoyed singing and, while at school, took part in numerous productions and was involved in choral concerts, often as a soloist.  Gemma joined the Bristol Gilbert and Sullivan Operatic Society in 2006, at which time she began studying singing with Pamela Rudge.  Recent principal roles with Society have included Edith in The Pirates of Penzance, Peep-Bo in The Mikado, the title role in Patience, Little Buttercup in HMS Pinafore and Phyllis in Iolanthe.

A talented designer, she has designed the image for this production, as well as the art work on several Gilbert and Sullivan productions for Bristol Gilbert and Sullivan Operatic Society and for the opera A Foreign Field.

She also is an experienced eventer and show-jumper in July this year her horse won Best British Bred at the BAPSH National Championship Show, together with a large collection of rosettes for dressage work.
