Thank you to Eowyn Ivey for writing a wonderful book that inspired the writing of this opera and for her extreme generosity in allowing us to adapt her story.    We also wish to record our gratitude to Eowyn Ivey’s US agents, Jeff Kleineman and Jody Hotchkiss, for their help.

Our immense gratitude is due also to the wonderful cast, orchestra, production team, backstage crew, Wardrobe, Front of House, Box Office and a wonderfully helpful publicity machine. We are also most grateful to Bristol Gilbert & Sullivan Operatic Society for invaluable assistance with storage and scene construction space, and to the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School for their generous help. We also acknowledge, with gratitude, the City of Bristol College Ashley Down - Media Make-up Diploma Students.  We hope we have included everyone, but would like to extend our gratitude further to anyone not specially mentioned for all assistance received.  We very much appreciated the help of many people who lent us their time, expertise and energy in the planning and promotion of the opera production, and would like to thank Lauren Gibbons in particular for her tremendous support and research work in to costumes of 1920s countryside Alaska! Thanks also to Sue Drysdale of Cafe Kondi, and Keith and Leoni Budd,

We are also particularly grateful to Ben England of Colston’s Girls’ School, Marianne Murray of Clevedon School and Sophie Grigg of Dubai English Speaking College for their help and enthusiasm with the musical side of the schools’ project. Thanks are also due to Anna Wetherell and Jonathan Mayes for their enthusiasm, encouragement and advice and to  Jeremy Grigg of Dubai English Speaking College for preparation of English and Drama work packages for schools and his assistance in co-ordinating schools workshop sessions. Thanks also to Kirsten Graham of Horfield CofE Priomary School, Bristol for special help with a project for Year 6 puipils at the school. Last, but by no means least, a vote of thanks is reserved for Allan Bennett, Business Manager and good friend,

An enormous debt of gratitude is due to the financial support we have received from Arts Council England and the RVW Trust. Also we very much appreciate the  financial assistance provided by the Paragon Concert Society, which administers funds left by the late Leo Reid Baker.
